copying and pasting to different parts of fret board

    Hi,

I created a lick starting on the G at the 10th fret 5th string. I'd like to be able to copy the lick and paste it to show the same lick, only fingered at the G on the 3rd fret 6th string, and other Gs around the fretboard. Is this possible?

    Thanks!

    Hi A

Sure you can, here is a quick walk through.

1 - Select the fretboard in question

2 - Press CTRL+SHIFT+A to select all notes on the fret board

3 - Hold down CTRL key and drag any note to where it's new position should be, all the other notes will move relative to this.

If you don't want to select all the notes use the Marquee Tool (looks like a dotted square) to lasso the just notes you want, or hold down SHIFT and select manually select the notes you want to copy.

If you want to add the lick to a different fretboard, first just copy and paste the whole fretboard and then do the above workflow.

I hope that helps but let me know if I can be of further assistance.

    Regards
