Note hint before insertion

Hi, was introduced to this software by my guitar teacher - really helpful study aid so thank you :-)

Would it be possible to show a "hint" before you insert a note, that snaps to the note about to be inserted:

Great to hear Neck Diagrams is proving helpful!

That's not a bad idea you're suggesting actually, thanks!

That would work kind of like the transparent feedback you get if you click & drag an existing note around the fretboard.. And thinking of that, that's always a square currently regardless of the shape of the actual note marker so could also change that so it's actually the same shape..

I'll raise a dev ticket for this so it's tracked and not forgotten
