Hi, this is my first post, so I hope I do it right. The diagram gallery icon in version 1 used to be on the top left side above where the diagram tree would open. In version 2 I need to go to the top right corner to hit the diagram gallery icon, then come back to the left side to pick a diagram. It's more trouble than it sounds.

We don't have any plans to put the switcher on the left below the tool bar as in ND1 - it wastes a lot of space that way!
There's actually a keyboard shortcut, if you like using those:
- on Windows, press CTRL+F8
- on Mac, press CMD+F8
If you hold down the CTRL or CMD key whilst repeatedly pressing F8 then you'll see you can cycle through the 3 view options.
We have actually added menu options to the 'Window' menu so you can use the menus, which are over to the left!. This will be available in the upcoming 2.1 release!
